Home-made Chicken/Beef Soup with Chive Štrukeljci (Rolled Dumplings)
Home-made beef or chicken soup used to be on the menu only on Sundays and public holidays, and chicken soup was served especially also to women giving birth and sick persons. Undoubtedly, soup is a classical ingredient of family Sunday lunches also today in the Škofja Loka region. Soup is usually enriched with various additions to soups, to which also herbs from home garden can be added to get a special taste. Chive is also one of them and we included it as a filling in small rolled dumplings, which merrily play on a plate and wait for you to scoop them.
