Stewed Apples in Raspberries on a Curd Cheese Ring
Apples were one of rare species of fruit that were abundant in the countryside. Numerous dishes and drinks were prepared from fresh apples from spring to autumn, and from dried apples in winter. Stewed apples were one of the dishes that were also often on the table in the Škofja Loka region. The same as in the past, when dishes had often been enriched with wild berries and wild fruit, we also cooked apples in raspberry sauce, gave them a refreshing taste and put a ring of home-made curd cheese under it. This delicious dessert will certainly not leave you indifferent.
