Braised Wether Meat with Vegetables and Potato Mush
Mush used to be the most mass everyday dish in Slovenia. It was even said that it was »the pillar of the Carniolan country«. It was prepared from buckwheat, corn and even wheat flour, then it was cooked together with potatoes and dressed with what they had in pantry. Housewives served them for breakfast as well as for lunch or dinner. Even today potato mush is a popular simple main course or an excellent side dish to various meat dishes. It is especially good with pieces of wether meat with a blend of tastes of various vegetables from home garden.
